Who are we?
We see it as a moral challenge to contribute to a cleaner environment. After all, so much is already needlessly lost in our world. With our choppers, we help our customers in terms of business economics and we also keep the harmful and polluting plastic strapping out of our ecosystem.
We focus on targeted quality and efficiency. We stand for workable, effective and targeted solutions that tackle the waste problem at the source. Our technology is straightforward.
Out of concern for future generations we take our responsibility. No one will have to say later that we did not do our best to save our vulnerable living environment where possible.
Our path
The path we have followed has certainly not been free of obstacles. Fortunately, at Seyna we have always stubbornly continued to believe in our approach. At a trade fair in Milan in 1998, we first came into contact with the idea of shortening packaging straps. At that time, it was still exclusively steel strapping. We immediately believed in the process and threw ourselves into the adventure.
In the first few years, we had to fight hard against scepticism. Many people considered choppers to be a lost investment, like wasted money. With our dogged West Flemish stubbornness, we continued on the chosen path. Our technology gradually gained a foothold. From 2010 onwards, everything went very quickly. Today, we no longer have to convince anyone of the commercial and environmental importance of a scrap chopper.
In the meantime, 24 years have passed and we have grown into the exclusive importer of the American SWEED MACHINERY. We have built up an extensive European dealer network for this brand. We cover the entire European continent and ensure that customers and their machines receive the service they deserve.
Our choppers offer the only truly environmentally friendly solution for recycling PET or PP strap. A clean, hygienic solution for people with many or few waste tires, that is our vision of doing our bit for the environment. In addition, we have large and heavy machines in stock for shortening industrial waste.
Tailored to the European market
By distributing the American Sweed machines on the European market, we must of course ensure that the overseas choppers meet the European standards. After all, a CE certificate must be issued by an external and independent inspection body.
This is often a difficult hurdle for foreign machines. We closely monitor the applicable European legislation and proactively impose new safety requirements on ourselves.
We are proud to say that Seyna, together with Sweed Machinery, can provide all the necessary certificates, making our machines among the safest on the market.
